#BreadForAll and How Tart-a-licious is Adjusting to the COVID-19 Pandemic
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit the United States, suddenly everything went from “business as usual” to “business as unusual.” Citizens were put under stay-at-home orders, toilet paper went missing off grocery store shelves, and the spring celebrations many were looking forward to became few and far between.
It’s an uncertain time, and here at Tart-a-licious, we knew we needed to do our part to serve the community and help neighbors in need get back on their feet. Enter: our #BreadForAll project. Here’s how #BreadForAll works:
Each week, we let our customers in the DFW metroplex vote on the type of bread we’re baking that week.
Then, they have until Thursday (or while supplies last) to place their order through the Tart-a-licious website.
That Saturday, we deliver their bread order, contactless, to their doorstep. It’s that simple!
All proceeds from the #BreadforAll project directly benefits the Heard That Foundation located in DFW, who works to help feed those in need.
While many celebrations are still taking place, the world is undoubtedly more simple right now, and many are appreciating the beauty in the little things that they may not have noticed otherwise. Through #BreadForAll, we are striving to provide our neighbors with the basics, all homemade, and through their purchases they know they can help the community.
